In the course of my career as a capsule pilot I have found that greed can easily lead to one's downfall. When I was a week old I was saving up to buy myself a shiny new caracal! The only problem was that I was 200k short. So being the egoist I am I scoured the courier contracts looking for a way to make that ISK fast! Lo and behold I was soon on a flight path to unconceivable doom... in 0sec.
After getting to the station(on my second attempt) I realized something...I couldn't dock! I was sitting outside like a paralyzed duck. Then it struck me...I was....
SCAMMED!!!!!
At that moment I knew I had two options:
1. Get all pissy and do absolutley nothing about it
2. Learn that this is a freaking great way to make isk!!!
I chose 2, now here's the guide.


MENTALITY OF A SCAMMER

In order to scam successfully you must first evaluate how you are going to scam. A scam involves the transfer of money or goods. Therefore to be able to scam you must first think of how money and goods are transferred! You have trade windows, contracts, the market, and people directly transferring you money. The question is how to slash the giant money bag and have it all pour out into your lap. The answer to that question is simple...deception! All scamming relies simply on the deception of your victim. Scamming is easy! It's just like fishing! Now for the good part of the guide....

THE SCAMS


Things you will need : A disposable market alt (replace it every week).

1. Contract Item Deception- Create a contract for an item that has an expensive counterpart(e.g rocket launcher I for a rocket launcher II) and set the price to the counterpart's market price *90 or 80%. Now drag the contract into the chatbox, change the name to the counterpart's and spam the crap outta jita local....Profit!!!

2. Contract WTB Price Deception- Create a WTB contract for some shiny item but set what you're wiling to pay to 0.01% of the actual price (e.g item costs 38 mil you put in 38k) then spam local saying you're WTB for actual price or just sit back and wait for a tard.
note: the wts version of this requires that your target actually has that much isk.

3. Courier Contracts- Set up a contract to transport a small amount of worthless m3 to a 0sec station and set the collateral whatever you wanna collect when they fail horribly because they can't dock or got podded.

4. Want to Gift- Set up a WTB contract to a seller in local. Make everything legit except for the fact that instead of paying money you receive the money. =D

5. Freeform Contracts- Ahhh the magic of the freeform....Freeform contracts are just text boxes nothing else. I imagine they were supposed to be used for RP but who the hell does that? Anyways This is where you type in a bunch of stuff to make it look like a wts item exchange. You usually if not always do this for a wtb in local. Now once you made it all pretty and legit looking put in the collateral for the same price as the item you're supposed to be selling. Money!!!!

6. Trade Window Ship Deception- Take a ship you can pilot or can trust a friend to change the name of and name it the t2 or faction variant of it. Then put out an ad in local for it (convo or trade) then laugh as they take your crap ship off your hands for millions of isk.

7. Trade Window Ship Deception II- Okay this time put in the real ship first incase they check it and after a couple seconds switch it out for the t1 variant. If you can't drag it out of the window close it and say it was an accident. Then put in the t1 ship and laugh.

8. Broken Market /WTB your own shite- Search the market for an item that has only one seller (low quantity and price) buy it and replace it with your own sell order for a much higher price. Then put out a fake WTB statement in local at an even higher price and wait for greed to kick in. If that doesn't work then start to complain about how your market is bugged and you need someone to buy that item for you so you can buy it from them. ISK!!!!

9. Corp Thieving- The dirtiest of all scams and the most profitable(arguable). Join a corp on an alt that you can train skills on and gain their total trust. Work your way up the corporate ladder until you have hanger access...then steal all their shite! If you don't have that much patience train up to at least a BS and ask if you can test your dps on one of your corpmate's shiny ships then ransom/pod their asses! BIG MONEY!~!!!!


TIPS
1. The best way to deal with people calling you out in local is to A. see if they have a dirty past and B. ignore them while cleaning out the chatbox (e.g keep responding lol over and over or come up with some random assed dialogue "Miss xxxxx burps...Miss xxxxx farts....Miss xxxxx is not very ladylike"
This clears the little box of any talk of scams which is good for you!

2. Make notes on whom to scam and whom not to scam!

3. Be prepared to wait .......a long..................time.

4. Don't get mad get glad.

5. Do it all in your underwear!
